Dear readers of The Land of 10,000 Bombs,
Welcome to something new—our first Peacenik* Newsletter! This issue features 8 upcoming events in Minnesota that share a spirit of resisting war, weapons, and empire. (Also, something archival, at the very end.) Many, many groups and individuals are involved in planning these events, and we are grateful to live in a community so rich with organizers and dissidents.
*“peacenik” (noun): a member of a pacifist or anti-war movement [derogatory]
We hope to see you at some of these events, and we plan to send out more of these newsletters in the future. If you know of any anti-war/anti-imperialist events we could uplift in those, email us at tenthousandbombs@gmail.com or tenkbombseditorial@proton.me! (Any omission of a relevant event is the unintentional fault of this newsletter’s writer.)
Also, please sign this petition demanding that Minneapolis City Council cut its contract with the Israeli surveillance company Zencity! We’ll be sharing more information about Zencity later this summer.

As we end this first Peacenik Newsletter, we leave you with a document of radical local history: this annotated, Easter-themed agitprop from The Minnesota War Tax Resistance Group, in 1972.
